How Do I... in the PHONEslips Link for Palm OS? Configure the Message link Configure the Scheduler link Configure the ToDo Link Configure the PhoneList link Begin the HotSync process Know what fields in the PHONEslips PhoneList link to the Palm Address book   Configuring the Message Link Step 1) Click on the HotSync® icon in the system tray and select custom. Step 2) From the Custom Dialog screen highlight the PHONEslips Message Link item and click on the change button. Step 3) In the PHONEslips User Field, place the desired name that either corresponds to an inner office PHONEslips name or external e-mail address. This name will be pasted in the e-mail From field once synchronized with the hand held organizer Note: the "Do Nothing" Checkbox is the switch that enables or disables the synchronization process with each conduit. Click here to return to the top of the page.   Configuring the Scheduler Link Step 1) Click on the HotSync® icon in the system tray and select custom. Step 2) From the Custom Dialog screen highlight the PHONEslips Scheduler Link item and click on the change button. Step 3) In the PHONEslips Schedule Field, place the desired user name whose schedule you want synchronized with the hand-held organizer. Step 4) In the Palm Pilot Category field, click on the down arrow to select the 'Unfiled' category. This is the only available date book category that can be synchronized with the scheduler in PHONEslips. Step 5) In the add 'PHONEslips entries in the date range' field, specify the start and end date range of PHONEslips entries you want added to the hand held organizer. Note: the "Do Nothing" Checkbox is the switch that enables or disables the synchronization process with each conduit. Click here to return to the top of the page.   Configure the ToDo Link Step 1) Click on the HotSync® icon in the system tray and select custom. Step 2 In the 'PHONEslips ToDo List' field, click the down arrow to select the desired PHONEslips user whose ToDo list items you want synchronized to the hand-held organizer. Step 3) In the 'Palm Pilot Category' field click on the down arrow to select the hand-held category you want synchronized with PHONEslips. Note: The category you select will be the only category that PHONEslips will maintain a link with. Step 4) In the 'Maintain link to record when moved to new category' field, place a check mark in the box to enable record tracking when a ToDo list item is moved from the originally select category on the hand-held organizer. Note: By default, if a ToDo list item is moved from the initially selected Palm Pilot Category field, the link is broken for that record. Any charges in that ToDo item will not be reflected in PHONEslips. Note: the "Do Nothing" Checkbox is the switch that enables or disables the synchronization process with each conduit. Step 3) In the 'Palm Pilot Category' field, click the down arror and select the hand-held organizer category you want synchronized with PHONEslips. Step 4) In the 'Maintain link to record when moved to new category' field, place a check mark in the box to enable record tracking when a PhoneList list item is moved from the originally select category on the hand-held organizer. Step 2) Place the hand-held organizer in the HotSync cradle. Step 3) Hit the HotSync button to begin synchronization.
